Advanced Diploma in Loss Management

1.THE PROGRAMME

The Advanced Diploma in Loss Management is the final stage of the taught component of the programme.

2.WHO CAN ENROL

Applicants should have:

ICLM Diploma in either of Loss Management, Security and Risk Management, Risk and Insurance Management, Electronic Security Systems, Occupational Health and Safety or Executive Diploma in Loss Control.

Exemptions

Exemptions may only be granted on subject for subject basis.

3.EMPLOYMENT AREAS

Graduates from this programme qualify for employment consideration as senior Loss Managers and Auditors in public and private institutions. Those who want independent working conditions can operate as consultants.

4.RECOGNITION OF THE QUALIFICATION

The ICLM Diploma in Loss Management meets the SADC Qualification Standards Framework (QSF) and international benchmarks. It is accredited by Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology Development as an Advanced Diploma qualification.

5.PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The programme consists of 6 taught courses and 15 000 words research project. The taught subject areas:

ADLM 2531: Module 28: Organisation Design and Change Management

ADLM 2631: Module 29: Forensic Investigations

ADLM 2231: Module 30: Principles of Forensic Accounting and Auditing

ADLM 2331: Module 31: Operations Research

STAGE : 3 ADVANCED DIPLOMA LEVEL PART 2

ADLM 2731: Module 32 Research Methods

ADLM 2831:Module 33 Corporate Governance

ADLM 2931: Module 34 Compliance Management

ADLM 3031:Typed research project (15 000) words


PROFESSIONAL STAGE (CPLM)

WORK BASED ASSESSMENT AND FQE

6.EXAMINATIONS

Examinations are set and marked by the Institute of Certified Loss Management (ICLM) in line with International approved standards and quality benchmarks for professional qualifications and the Institute's by-laws.

7.REGISTRATION

Students have to meet entry requirements and study the prospectus carefully before making a decision to enrol on the entry programmes.
